Organic Diet

The latest rage in food market, its original, its fresh and its healthy as it has been produced using practices which ensure no pesticides residues .Genetically modifications methods, synthetic preservatives, irradiations are prohibited in all existing organic agriculture standards. It includes veggies, meat, eggs and dairy products. The label "organic" denotes compliance with specific production and processing methods.

ORGANIC FOOD IS A NATURAL FOOD

This food is different from the conventional food in the way it is grown, and processed. No pesticides, or chemical fertilizers are used on crop plants. No growth  hormones or antibiotics are used on the animals to increase their productivity and they are raised on organic feed.

ORGANIC FOOD IS HEALTHIER THAN CONVENTIONAL FOOD

Organic food is safer as it contains fewer contaminants because of its production methods, although its not being certified. Level of antioxidants and other health-related food components are reported to be higher in organic food. Organic foods may still have some residues from incidental soil and environmental contamination, even if the concentrations of these residues are very low.

ORGANIC FOOD IS MORE EXPENSIVE

Since, complete natural methods are used for the production and processing of organic food, hence the growth is slow and limited. Also, Organic-farming is more labour-intensive. Animals are raised on pastures, and they have access to free-ranging environments, so they are kept in better conditions, which requires much time and effort adding to the final product's cost.

THE CONCEPT OF ORGANIC FOOD PROMOTES ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY

The organic methods used in the growth and processing of this kind of food are imed at minimizing the air, soil, and water pollution and restoring the ecological balance. As organic agriculture uses no synthetic pesticides, there is no risk of synthetic pesticide pollution of ground and surface waters. Thus, ultimately improving the natural conditions of the interdependent communities of plants, animals and humans.
