been produced using practices which ensure no pesticides residues .Genetically modifications methods,synthetic preservatives, irradiations are prohibited in all existing organic agriculture standards. It includes veggies, meat, eggs and dairy products. The label "organic" denotes compliance with specific production and processing methods.

This food is different from the conventional food in the way it is grown,and processed. No pesticides, or chemical fertilizers are used on crop plants. No growth hormones or antibiotics are used on the animals to increase their productivity and they are raised on organic feed.

Level of antioxidants and other health-related food components are reported to be higher in organic food. Organic foods may still have some residues from incidental soil and environmental contamination, even if the concentrations of these residues are very low.

Since, complete natural methods are used for the production and processing of organic food, hence the growth is slow and limited. Also, Organic-farming is more labour-intensive. Animals are raised on pastures, and they have access to free-ranging environments, so they are kept in better conditions,which requires much time and effort adding to the final product's cost.

The organic methods used in the growth and processing of this kind of food are imed at minimizing the air, soil, and water pollution and restoring the ecological balance.
