Allergy

Allergy is a state in which the body has an abnormal reaction to a substance. It can also be explained as an exaggerated immune reaction to a generally risk-free substance. Someone affected by allergy is extra susceptible or sensitive to some foods, liquids, pollen, or animals. An allergic reaction is the body's powerful response to allergens in a person who is sensitive to them. Allergic reactions range from mild to severe, and may include sneezing, a rash, or difficulty breathing (which can be fatal). Allergic symptoms should not be taken lightly and a doctor should be consulted.

Food Allergy

A food allergy, or food hypersensitivity, is an unusual reaction to a foodstuff triggered by our immune system. An allergy to a food shows its symptoms very rapidly, usually within minutes of consumption or even touching the food.
Full Details about Food Allergy

Allergy is also called hypersensitivity of the body, to certain substances. Our immune system reacts to those allergens to which we might be sensitive or allergic to.

What are the most common allergic conditions?

Common Allergic Reactions and Conditions

Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is a abrupt disastrous allergic reaction involving the whole body, which calls for immediate medical treatment, failing which, it could be fatal.

Asthma

Asthma affects the tiny airways that carry air in and out of the lungs. These airways can become inflamed, swollen and contract down during the allergic asthmatic condition. If this is not taken care of, it can be fatal. If Asthma is caused by an allergy, you can try to find out what you are allergic to by having special tests and then taking steps to avoid the asthmatic allergen.

Summer hay fever

Summer hay fever occurs when an allergen causes swelling and irritation in the nasal cavity and eyes, accompanied with fever.

Allergic rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is like to the hay fever and  it causes inflammation inside the nose and eyes

Food reactions and allergies

Food allergies are common and many people are effected with them, when they intake a certain type of food substance.

Urticaria

Urticaria is an allergic skin rash also called 'nettle rash' or hives.

Eczema

Eczemas are skin allergies. The most common are Atopic dermatitis and Contact dermatitis.

Drug allergy

Drugs allergies or Medicinal allergies are reactions to certain medicines that may not adjust with the immune system of a body. The body reacts whenever that specific medicine is used.

Venom allergies

Venom Allergies are body immune system reactions to stinging insects.

Eye allergies
